Governance

The Carolinas Center is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board is chosen using a combination of methods with 10 directors elected by hospice providers members from North and South Carolina and additional members appointed by the Board through an at-large selection process. The Carolinas Center’s governance structure requires that a majority of Board seats be held by hospice providers.

The Carolinas Center centers its work on promoting ethical and effective practices by its members, providing expert technical assistance and forward-looking education to help its members compete in today’s dynamic health care environment. The Carolinas Center works to build trust between its members and within the community it supports. Trust and integrity are core to what we do and are embedded in the formal governance documents that form our foundation. We offer you access to our foundational documents to show our commitment to transparency.
